Job DescriptionKnight Transportation We are urgently hiring an experienced Fleet Diesel Mechanic-Technician with 3 to 5 years experience for our Atlanta location Come and Join Our Team, we are a fleet-oriented company that provides hands on OEM on-the-job training with manufacturers such as Freightliner, International, Volvo, Kenworth, Cummins, and Detroit. Pay Range $21 to $39

(Based on location, skill level, and experience)

Overtime Pay Range $31.50 to $58.50 (time and a half)
Quarterly Bonus Program Range $500 to $1,000, potentially up to an additional $3 an hour for the year.

(Eligible up to 4 bonuses a year based on the revenue of the company)

Paid Training
Paid Time Off (PTO) 2 weeks (80 hours) within the first year.

Schedule:

Shift: Monday to Friday (depends on location)
Shop Hours: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm with 1 hour lunch

Qualifications:

High School or equivalent
Experience with on-the-job training
Diploma in vehicle maintenance from vocational or trade school a plus.
Valid driver's license required.
Possess customer service & computer skills.
Ability to read & understand repair manuals.
Ability to multitask & work as a team.
Must possess the tools required to accomplish the essential job results required.
We are a DOT sensitive organization, and all candidates must submit to a pre-employment Drug screen (Hair), and lifetime background Check.
Marijuana is a disqualification of employment.

Mechanic Responsibilities:

Repair heavy truck & trailer (semi-class 8).
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, HVAC, and Electrical diagnosing.
Perform minor to complex repairs for all types of equipment.
Perform Tire maintenance and repairs.
May be required to test drive equipment if CDL certified.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Maintain a positive & proactive work environment.
