    Job DescriptionDiesel Shop Mechanic - Heavy-Duty Mechanic - Class 8 Truck Technician Full-Time / Atlanta, GA 30336 Truck

    Uniform Service Diesel Shop Mechanic Responsibilities Include:
    Perform repairs to heavy-duty trucks and trailersInform manager of completion times, parts needed, and possible changesMinimize warranty claims and re-workSubmit work orders for invoicingMaintain repair parts inventory and suppliesPrepare list of required replacement partsClean work area as required and maintain equipment, adhering to all environmental, health and safety standards

    Successful Diesel Shop Mechanic Candidates Will Have:
    Diesel truck mechanic experience, to include: Preventative maintenance services, brakes, suspension, clutch replacements, component replacements, and transmission repair jobs A basic set of hand tools, and willingness to purchase tools required for the jobTechnical training in heavy-duty, diesel truck mechanicsInitiative to address challenges and seek solutionsExcellent communication skills (oral written)
