    Description


    Job Type Full-timeDescriptionDiesel MechanicJob SummaryResponsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on company equipment consisting of preventative maintenance, minor to major repairs to tractors and trailers.

    Essential DutiesPerform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of company equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systemsTroubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctions Performs P.M.

    inspections to ensure DOT requirements are metPerforms other tasks/projects as instructed by VP of Fleet MaintenanceAssists with road service calls during emergency breakdowns.

    Complete required documentation associated with repairing vehicles and documenting parts usageAssures compliance with all appropriate safety rules and regulationsOther duties as assignedDiesel Mechanic benefits include:

    Valid and unrestricted Driver's licenseMust have a Toolbox Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred. ASE certification preferredMinimum of 1 year of Technician experience preferred. New and Recent Diesel Mechanics are welcome. Must have graduated from an Accredited Diesel Mechanic program.


    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds.

    Ability to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to inspect and or wash vehicles.
