    The RoleThe Senior Director of Marketing Operations role at Veeva Systems is a high-impact, high-visibility role.

    We are looking for someone who has proven marketing operations experience and can develop creative solutions to marketing's operational requirements and challenges.

    You must have excellent attention to detail, be well organized, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This critical position reports to the CMO and is remote.

    Working directly with our CMO, this senior leader will focus on the operational aspects of a growing, dynamic marketing team, be a "hands-on" operational leader, and "day-to-day" manager.

    You will be a team player working collaboratively with sales, marketing, and cross-functional teams to drive success through best practices and efficiencies.

    As a member of the global marketing team, you will work to build, evangelize, and deliver a world-class marketing operations function to support our sales and marketing teams driving our industry cloud solutions for life sciences.

    This leadership role works closely with our executive, marketing, sales, and product teams in a fast-paced and rapidly growing market.

    What You'll DoDefine business analytics and create dashboards and reports to support Marketing Operations and measure all aspects of the marketing lead generation engine:

    database cleanliness, campaign effectiveness, and overall business performanceDevelop and manage the executive data set, including dashboards, reports, and analyses that accurately communicate Marketing effectivenessProvide leadership and support to the marketing team in analyzing marketing performance data and making recommendations to optimize marketing performanceEstablish efficiencies to streamline the daily operations of the Marketing Operations team.

    This includes but isnt limited to improving documentation of important processes and definitions, providing career development and coaching to each member of the Marketing Operations team, and establishing a prioritization queue for managing tickets from internal stakeholdersCreate a vision for Veevas Martech stack and how this provides reliable marketing operation data supporting dashboards, reporting, and operational insightOversight and support of our marketing automation tools including Marketo and the interactions with other integrated systems ensuring data quality and augmentationOngoing management of marketing best practices, maintenance of campaign, program, drip & nurture program performanceOptimize lead scoring and distribution methodology to ensure quality leads are passed to sales development and sales for qualification and increasing efficiencies and conversion ratesCreate business and system processes ensuring data accuracy and timely synchronization of system databasesCreate and manage marketing budget working across the team and providing timely updates of actuals against budgetManage all marketing technology, data, and service vendors/partners in building a cohesive marketing technology platformPartner closely with sales operations to ensure key marketing data is updated in our CRM for reporting, dashboards, and analyticsProvide exemplary service to internal customers such as sales, marketing program managers, and execs as neededRequirementsMinimum 8+ years of experience in a marketing operations role or similar positionExperience in a fast-growth enterprise software (SaaS) or high-tech life science company supporting teams executing ABM and high-end enterprise salesSuccessful history working with executive leadership, with emphasis on planning, strategy, and budget managementProven technical, analytical, and quantitative skills coupled with practical communication skills (verbal and written) that enable translating complex data and/ or issues into productive discussions/actions at the executive and operational levelsExperience in the development and use of business analytics, key performance indicators, and dashboardsExperience in the use of third-party data sources for lead database building and augmentationAdvanced user of marketing automation systems such as MarketoStrong working knowledge of CRM systems and sales processesUnderstanding of critical technologies in the marketing technology stackAdvanced user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPointExcellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentationInnovative, motivated, organized, high-energy team playerProcess and quality orientation with extreme attention to detailUndergraduate degree in business, mathematics, engineering, science, or a related fieldNice to HaveMBA preferredHands-on experience with data augmentation and quality toolsPerks & BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and basic life insuranceFlexible PTO and company paid holidaysRetirement programs1% charitable giving programCompensationBase pay: $150,000 - $240,000 The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role.

    Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions.
