    Description
    AECOM's Design and Consulting Services-Americas legal department is actively seeking a creative, highly talented attorney to support AECOM's operations in the Western U.S., based out of Los Angeles, California.
    The qualified applicant should have a strong background in professional services and construction litigation, specifically related to contracts for engineering, construction, and technical services.
    Responsibilities for this role include:
    • Providing guidance on risk management and company policy adherence
    • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, subcontracts, and legal documents
    • Advising on important business matters
    • Resolving pre-litigation disputes and claims
    • Supervising litigation and managing external counsel
    • Handling litigation-related tasks independently
    • Supporting compliance with laws and regulations
    • Supporting diversity and inclusion goals
    Minimum Requirements:
    • BA/BS + at least 10 years of relevant experience
    Additional Requirements:
    • J.D. Degree from accredited law school
    • Member in good standing with any U.S. state bar
    • Demonstrated experience in engineering and construction law
    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to travel periodically
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Prior experience in engineering, architecture, or construction
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and in groups
    • Flexibility and adaptability in changing environments
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills
