- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Indiana.

- Successful completion of the Civil Engineer Trainee training program (commonwealth title); or
- Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
- Four years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and an engineer-in-training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists, and an associate degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline; or
- One year of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- This position requires a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.

The Traffic Unit of the Department of Transportation Engineering District 10-0 is currently looking for a Civil Engineer (Transportation) to join our team. If you have the required expertise and unique skillset to excel in this role, we strongly urge you to submit your application without delay
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In the role of Civil Engineer Transportation within the Traffic Unit, you will support various traffic tasks such as design, maintenance, construction, and related programs. This may involve reviewing design plans, creating estimates, conducting engineering and traffic studies, evaluating traffic patterns, assessing safety measures, and other relevant duties aligned with the Business Plan Goals and Objectives.
