    Food Service Team Member at Springfield Rehabilitation and HealthCare Center

    We are a 146-bed facility with a welcoming environment and a new 30-bed rehab wing. We are proud to announce that we have consistently received the CMS 5-star rating for several years.

    Position: Food Service Team Member

    Looking for a job where you can have a good time, showcase your skills, be creative, and make a positive impact on others? Join our Food Nutrition Service Team at NHC! We promote teamwork and give you the chance to demonstrate your culinary talents in a healthcare setting. As a Food Service Team Member, your role involves various tasks related to preparing and serving patient meals, including assisting with basic food preparation, food delivery, kitchen cleaning, and other assigned duties.

    We offer a restaurant-style dining experience for our residents and their families, allowing you to interact closely with them.

    Position Highlights:

    • Help in receiving and storing food and supplies efficiently to prevent waste and ensure top-quality products. Properly label and store items, following correct food handling techniques.
    • Responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, and pans. Also, handle the removal of damaged dishware and glassware. Wrap flatware when necessary.
    • Ensure proper transportation and storage of dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, and pans. Maintain a sufficient supply of clean and sanitized items to meet meal preparation schedules.
    • Clean and sanitize the dishwashing machine and dish room. Maintain cleanliness in the work area, complete assigned cleaning tasks, and empty and sanitize trash cans.
    • Assist the cook in preparing and serving various foods for different diets according to planned menus. Additionally, prepare beverages, bread, and other menu items as instructed.
    • Organize meal trays on the tray line, verify tray accuracy for diets and preferences, and deliver carts as needed. Clear and sanitize dining tables as required.

    Job Type: Full-time and Part-time

    Work Shift: Morning (AM) and Evening (PM) shifts available.

    Experience
