Strategic Analysis, Inc (SA) is seeking a versatile, skilled
AI/Computational (SME) to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) Resilient Systems Office (RSO) activities.
The ARPA-H mission is to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone by supporting the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems.
The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:- Serve as a technical advisor to ARPA-H Program Managers.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
helping refine program concept, guiding development of Technical Areas (TA), thinking through risks and mitigation strategies, ensuring a sound transition plan, and advising on a realistic program budget.
- Working closely with Program Manager and SETA teams to foresee and address potential questions before presented to Leadership.
- Review program documentation including technical slide decks, Heilmeier questions, communication plans, broad agency announcement, etc.
- Continue to drive PM and PM SETA Teams towards reaching 100day goal from PM arrival date to obtaining program approval with potential to support PM up to 100%
- Draft summaries of programs and accomplishments that are appropriate to share with ARPA-H leadership in preparation for discussions with HHS, OSTP, OMB, and other external partners.
- AI/ML/LLM and bioinformatics expertise.
- Excellent writing and communication skills. This includes routine communication amongst ARPA-H Leadership, PM, and PM SETA team.
- Commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
- Exceptional timemanagement and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, as well as complete tasks of varying priority in parallel and under stressful deadlines.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work in a highpaced environment.
- Intellectual curiosity and interest in expanding knowledge to new scientific areas.
- Prior ARPA experience (DARPA, IARPA, ARPA-E) in formulating a program concept; from initial idea, refinement, nomination package, to final program approval AND/OR experience in a consulting or startup environment within the health industry building business strategy, designing launch plans, and expanding business.
Qualification Requirements:
Education
- Master's Degree required
- HHS, NIH Public Trust (Ability to obtain)
