    The Director of Transportation is accountable for all transportation logistics and associated spend within the U.S.; global import and inbound, domestic and LATAM outbound, reverse supply chain operations, and the technology supporting supply chain transformation (including managing the JDA Warehousing System operations and staff in the U.S. and Canada). This role offers subject-matter expertise and recommendations to senior leadership based on best practices in Transportation Operations (Inbound and Outbound).

    This position collaborates with the information technology (IT) and business intelligence (BI) reporting team to establish efficient reporting techniques to expedite data mining processes.

    The role involves creating presentations on behalf of the company and delivering them in front of key Customer Partners and Senior Management to showcase performance related to on-time shipping and customer compliance.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Lead logistics planning and execution of inbound and outbound transportation to meet objectives and service levels
    • Manage Third-Party transportation management services, contracts, budgets, and performance
    • Provide direction to internal teams and vendors to ensure customer compliance
    • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and service-level expectations for various transportation modes
    • Lead budget/financial analysis for transportation spend visibility
    • Drive operational efficiency projects to enhance customer satisfaction
    • Transform reverse logistics network strategy for short-term and long-term benefits
    • Utilize data analysis to optimize the US Reverse network
    • Assess large retailer returns for optimal Reverse Logistics operations
    • Conduct Quarterly Business Review (QBR) and Monthly Business Review (MBR) with 3rd Party providers
    • Manage vendor relationships and pricing agreements for transportation services
    • Drive continuous savings by developing bidding processes and evaluating market conditions
    • Ensure service commitments are met through operational process management
    • Develop inbound and outbound business models for transportation optimization
    • Monitor outbound Freight Cost and Performance to drive new operating models
    • Collaborate with Planning to optimize DC moves and associated costs
    • Strategize and implement large scale initiatives such as WMS platform upgrades
    • Define WMS requirements for warehouse, 3PL, and supply chain
    • Lead discussions for project updates and changes to the Scope of Work
    • Implement and monitor JDA/WMS functionality across warehouses in the US
    • Ensure WMS performance does not impact Sales or Service

    ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing large-scale distribution centers and transportation networks
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in continuous improvement, people management, and budget oversight
    • Experience with SAP Order Management
    • Interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills are essential
    • Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines for distribution

      • The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $160,000 per year
      • Starting salary based on education, experience, skills, and market data
      • Eligibility for variable pay incentive plan(s) based on individual and company performance
