- Working with other engineering managers, product managers, and Business Segment Directors with helping deliver the product solutions, dealing with escalations, providing oversight and guidance, and contributing to the regular New Product Introduction cadence and to support continual product enhancements and deliverables
- Ownership and accountability for the components that are developed and deployed globally --- maintaining the quality, reliability and scalability of such components
- BS in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience
- Line Management of the development team and software testers, including recruitment, coaching and mentoring, along with selection and management of contract resource when required.
- Assist with various R&D initiatives to identify opportunities for new projects, technologies and improved processes.
- Strong project management and delivery instincts and help teams (not necessarily composed of people that all report to them) to deliver results
- Familiar with Agile development methodologies (Scrum and Kanban).
- Communicate and collaborate with other managers, suppliers, and contractors
- Prepare and deliver various engineering-related presentations, both internally and externally
- Help translation of business requirements into technical needs and actions.
- Help harmonizing practices across countries.
- Working experience in Agile development methodologies
- Empathic and articulate communicator; vertically and horizontally across the organization
- Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services

- 5+ years of Java application development experience
- 3+ years of frontend development experience using JavaScript

As a Development Manager, you'll join our expanding global development teams to deliver top-tier fleet management software systems. Your role will involve overseeing developers across squads, ensuring their productivity, and seeing that all members meet their responsibilities. You'll also ensure that developers have well-defined requirements and input from PMs and TPOs, such as a well-defined backlog ready for the squad to work on.
