About Toole Design
Toole Design is a North American leader in the delivery of streets and public spaces where people can move freely and intuitively, enjoying the experience and being a part of the community instead of just moving through it. Our talented team of planners, landscape architects and engineers are committed to delivering quality work that meets the needs of all people, regardless of age, ability, race or gender. We have been named a "best firm to work for" and have one of the lowest staff turnover rates in the industry. We are a highly collaborative firm, proud of our ability to share resources between offices to support our team members and support our "one company" ethos and every project our employees deliver directly and positively affects our communities.

Work Schedule for a Project Engineer
This full-time position typically works a flexible schedule. This position is currently remote in the Austin, Texas region with the expectation to eventually work in-person 2 to 3 days per week at an office in Austin. We will provide the necessary equipment and flexibility to work remotely along with other Austin-based team members.
About our Austin Team
Austin is one of the most exciting cities for multimodal and active transportation. Whether it's helping to deliver Austin's Mobility Bond projects, updating the City's Urban Trails and Sidewalks Plans through ATX Walk Bike Roll, designing high-comfort bikeways in Houston, or creating District-level Bike Plans for TxDOT, Toole Design is helping to shape the future of Texas.
Since 2017, a team of Toole Design engineers and planners have provided full-time, on-site staff augmentation to the City of Austin's Transportation Department to deliver Mobility Bond projects. We are creating a new, standalone Austin office to complement this team by working on a range of planning and design projects across Texas, many of which are already underway. Our vision for our new Austin office is one that is talented, multidisciplinary, diverse, and cohesive.
If offered this position, you'll be leading and growing an engineering team in one of the most exciting cities for multimodal transportation.
