- Lead the merger lifecycle for the Marketing function, from demand generation, through merger, to post-merger
- Oversee marketing campaigns to generate a pipeline of potential merger opportunities
- Contribute to research and due diligence processes to determine merger candidate capabilities and fit
- Participate in prospective partner discovery and due diligence meetings with the CMO
- Represent the Cerity Partners approach to marketing in internal and external meetings
- Operationalize the marketing merger process across all merger phases
- Oversee and project manage omni-channel rebrands for all mergers (visual identity, website, content, narrative)
- Work with Marketing team members to assess content and digital marketing capabilities
- Apply innovative thinking and creativity to help merged firms transition their marketing practice
- Develop deep relationships with merging and merged colleagues to support business growth
- Establish tools and resources to enhance the colleague and client experience post-merger
- Serve as the Marketing Team representative in all merger-related project meetings
- 7+ years of professional experience in brand, marketing or change management
- Experience with brand strategy, design and creative execution
- Strong project management and prioritization skills
- Superior written and verbal communications skills
- Desire and ability to both lead strategy and execute tactically
- Experience working in a matrixed organization
- Strong relationship building skills
- Superior presence and presentation skills, comfortable interfacing with external audiences on behalf of the firm
- Effective collaborator with the ability to build consensus and lead by influence
- Experience in the wealth planning/RIA space a plus
- Building and sustaining a lasting and best of breed brand
- Creating demand across individuals, families, businesses, and prospective partners

Description
The Merger Marketing Lead will be responsible for the full Cerity Partners merger lifecycle from the Marketing lens. This is a new role that will work across business functions and closely with our Partner Development and Change Management Teams to implement upper funnel marketing, through to rebranding, and marketing integration. The role will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. This role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships. The ideal candidate should have a profound understanding of the role marketing and brand play within the context of wealth management and have superior project and change management skills.
