    Description

    Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP, one of San Diego's oldest and most prestigious law firms, seeks an Associate Attorney to join the Firm's Trust and Estate Litigation Practice Group. This highly regarded practice group is recognized as a leading trusts and estate group in Southern California.Significant opportunity for an associate to grow his or her practice, develop skill-set, and create personal book of business working under nationally recognized partners.

    Job Responsibilities

    Develop relationships with clients as you establish legal objectives, explain legal options, provide legal advice, and represent clients in court and mediation

    Manage caseload and prioritize multiple cases and assignments

    Prepare pleadings, manage all aspects of discovery, research, prepare motions, all aspects of trial preparation and trial work as second chair

    Qualifications

    • Must be admitted to and in good standing with theCalifornia bar
    • Minimum of four years of civil or commercial litigation experience
    • Candidate that is self-motivated, is looking for trial experience, and appreciates a high degree of responsibility under the oversight and tutelage of experienced litigators
    • Strong analytical, research, oral and written communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and reprioritize caseload
