    Job Title: Development Associate

    Status: 6-month contract

    Compensation: $30 per hour

    Remote Status: Fully remote

    Work with a diverse set of individuals in the development department of a social justice nonprofit promoting racial equity, inclusion, and support for marginalized communities.

    Duties

    Support the Development Director, Program Directors and Institutional Giving Officer with scheduling and calendaring external donor meetings and internal meetings

    Meet with Directors to track next steps and document information and next steps about donor meetings

    Remind directors about upcoming tasks and due dates

    Create lists and execute mail merges in preparation for webinars, events, and other timely engagements

    Support with follow up after conferences and other events

    File Grant Award Letters, track/update tasks and due dates in Asana

    Manage the development of meeting agendas, slide decks, and other development content

    Conduct preliminary research on prospects

    Maintain and update prospect lists for all funds.

    Create and maintain spreadsheets for tracking conference attendees.

    Research organizations of attendees and flag those which may be a good fit for certain funds

    Develop profiles for existing donors and institutions

    Answer development email

    Track required/ timely responses needed by others

    Manage the general development email

    Support with data transfer to Salesforce

    Miscellaneous Development admin duties as needed

    Education & Experience

    MUST have development experience

    Experience with CRM databases, Salesforce preferred

    Experience using systems and tools such as Zoom, Google Suite, Slack, YAMM, and Asana

    Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Personal/ Behavioral Attributes)

    Ability to handle confidential donor information with sensitivity and integrity

    Ability to problem-solve, plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks

    Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships within a diverse virtual work environment

    Commitment to the organizations vision and value
