    **Job Description**

    This position will primarily be responsible for the handling of Lender Placed claims within the claims unit, but will handle other claims as needed.

    Provide prompt service and detailed investigations in the handling of claims

    Maintain a diary system to ensure prompt conclusion of claims

    Follow file quality standards

    Maintain proper contact with agents, insureds, and company personnel

    Selection and direction of independent adjusters

    Fulfill adjuster licensing requirements and any required state continuing education

    Meet or exceed unit/departmental performance goals

    Determine proper indemnity payments through utilization of estimate reviews to include:

    Desk adjustments

    Revision of independent adjuster estimates when required

    Determine and apply proper depreciation to applicable items

    Evaluate Personal Property Claims

    **Qualifications**

    Bachelors degree or equivalent professional education or experience

    Requires some knowledge of a specialized function or skill

    Developing real trade craft and skills

    High degree of planning and organization ability

    Judgment/Decisiveness

    Analytical Ability

    Attention to Detail

    Excellent communication skills

    Excellent negotiation skills

    Personnel development skills

    Multi-line technical and administrative experience preferred

    General construction knowledge preferred

    IIA, AEI or other approved industry coursework (i.e. AIC, SCLA, CPCU) preferred

    Florida 6-20 Adjusters License; will be required to obtain licenses in other states as needed.
