    Jacob Heating & Air Conditioning has been serving the DeLand and Volusia County area since 1921 We provide premium maintenance, installation, and repair services of heating and cooling systems for both residential homeowners and commercial properties.     Primary Job Function: The purpose of the Administrative Assistant is to greet customers by phone or in person courteously and professionally while handling various clerical tasks.

    Pay Rate: $ $20.00 Per /Hr. Depending on Experience + Benefit

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Answer general incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries and/or route to the appropriate recipient. When recipients are not available, the Administrative Assistant will take and relay messages
    • Maintain customer database with relevant information, as necessary
    • Responsible for ensuring that after-hours calls are directed to the answering service
    • Assist the service department with planned maintenance customer contacts and scheduling
    • Handle in-person sales of filters and materials by processing payment and providing customers with items
    • Work with other departments to ensure collaboration and efficiency of all business units
    • Light HR duties such as assisting with onboarding, coordinating interviews, and assisting with other various tasks

    Required Qualifications:

    • Education:
      • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Experience:
      • A minimum of two years in a customer service/reception-based role in an office setting is preferred
      • HR and onboarding experience is a plus
      • Fluency with multi-line phone systems is required
    • Communication:
      • Comfortable and able to listen, speak, and respond efficiently to internal and external customers consistently throughout the day
      • Use of telephone, radio, and email is a main requirement of the position, and the ability to use effective verbal and written communication is required
    • Skills/Abilities:
      • Strong computer skills required
      • Customer service skills and professionalism are of utmost importance
      • Effective time management and organization in a fast-paced environment are required
