- Conduct comprehensive analyses to inform resource planning activities.
- Develop and manage computer models used for strategic resource decisions.
- Prepare clear and concise reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate written summaries of resource modeling data.
- Analyze market trends to recommend resource investments and acquisitions.
- Participate in meetings and provide technical expertise on resource planning initiatives.
- Offer regulatory support by preparing written testimony and responding to data requests.
- Participate as an expert witness in regulatory proceedings.
- Conduct industry research to inform future regulatory filings.
- Translate complex analyses into clear explanations for team members, management, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate, mentor, and train junior Resource Planning staff.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Economics, Finance, etc.).
- 8-12 years of experience in utility production cost modeling.
- Strong understanding of energy supply fundamentals and regional market behaviors.
- Proficiency in various modeling, analytical, and reporting software.
- Excellent quantitative, project management, planning, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Experience with generation, transmission, gas transportation, and wholesale power markets.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations in the energy sector.
