Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university with a minimum of eight (8) years' experience working in a capacity of Accountant, three (3) years of which spent in a Senior level (Essential)
OR,

Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university with a Minimum of Six (6) years' experience in a capacity of Accountant, three (3) years of which spent in a Senior level (Essential).

Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountant (SOCPA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Desirable).
Requirements and Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall functions of the Accounting Department.
Monitors and Controls financial transactions through the Accounting system (Oracle).
Responsible to perform all needed procedures to enable the transformation from cash basis accounting to accrual basis accounting.
Develops and implement policies and procedures as well as controls to ensure compliance with existing government laws and regulations.
Provides direct supervision to the Senior Accountants and Financial Specialist.
Participates in management team activities, i.e. to provide training to new and existing staff as needed and meeting with them to identify and resolve problems.
Manages staff daily workload, monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy

Performs staff annual evaluations.
Provides payment order reports to Director of Finance and Budget.
Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses and evaluation of financial data.
Meets accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions.
Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing activities.

Provides assistance if needed in the budget process, including review of preliminary and final budgets before release to the departments.

Provides support and assistance to the Finance Director in the departmental administrative functions.
Prepares financial reports and special analyses as directed by Director of Finance and Budget or as required.
Performs all duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner.
Performs all other duties as required or assigned.
Education

Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting or Finance
