- Starting pay - $17.00 per hour.
- Health ins after 90 days (employee participation).
- Most holidays paid after 1 year.
- 5 personal days after 3 years.
- 10 personal days after 5 years.

Roberts & Son Black Oxide Specialist Inc. was established in 1988 by Timothy Roberts, with himself as the only employee. In 1992, Matthew Roberts, Tim's younger brother, was hired and is now the plant manager. Tim's son, Nicholas Roberts has been involved in the business since age 14 and now is a full time Firefighter/Paramedic, but still enjoys getting his hands dirty at the shop on needed occasions.
