We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to oversee all staff, budgets and operations of the local business unit.

Assistant General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies.

Responsibilities

• Controls daytoday operations by scheduling, ordering, and developing the team members.
• Controls profit & loss, by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions.
• Recruits, interviews, and hires team members, conducts performance appraisals, takes disciplinary action, motivates and trains.
• Ensures that the Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes, as well as the company safety and security policies are being adhered to
• Ensures that the restaurant is in compliance with the preventative maintenance program with regards to facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance.
• Ensures a safe working and guest experience environment by facilitating safe work behaviors of the team.
• Maintains fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensures products are consistent with company quality standards.
• Enforce policies and processes
• Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
• Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
• Prepare regular reports for upper management
• Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)

Skills

• Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
• Experience in planning and budgeting
• Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
• Strong analytical ability
• Excellent communication skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Problemsolving aptitude

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in a food service environment is required
• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• Twoyear college or university program certificate preferred
• Proven track record of leadership and managerial skills while providing exceptional customer service is required

Pay:
$70, $80,000.00 per year
