- Also expected from the EOT is the ability to execute small-to-medium impacting projects from conception to completion. The EOT will be tasked with creating and delivering on key milestones, obtaining and tracking quotes for all necessary costs, and documenting project results. The goals of such projects are to drive innovation and resiliency while reducing operational costs in the facilities.

The EOT is responsible for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency.
This involves conducting both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues.The EOT serves as an operator as well as a first-line resource reporting to a site's Data Center Facility Manager (FM), receiving daily instruction from the Chief Engineer (CE) and interacting with third party vendors.
The EOT maintains training compliance as related to their role of operating, troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.This equipment includes, but is not limited to:
