Description
CSAis currently seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in Norfolk, VA.The successful candidate will oversee computer operations and ensure the effective use of computer system resources in conjunction with database administrators, system administrators, and various data center personnel.
This position is contingent upon award.Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of IT operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of systems, networks, and infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including database administrators, system administrators, and data center personnel, to ensure optimal performance and availability of computer operations.
Develop and implement operational strategies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and government regulations.Monitor and analyze system performance and resource utilization, identifying areas for improvement and implementing proactive measures.
Coordinate the resolution of production-related problems, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate the delivery of information technology services.
Provide users with necessary computer output and support their operational needs.
Supervise and lead a team of IT operations personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area within DoD/Navy programs.
Minimum 3 years of overall managerial experience.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of IT operations concepts, practices, and procedures.
Proven track record of successfully managing and overseeing IT operations in a complex environment.
Excellent understanding of systems and network infrastructure, including databases, servers, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
Familiarity with government regulations and security standards, such as FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and address operational issues effectively.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage team members.
Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, MCSA) are highly desirable.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or ITIL Master Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting NAVSEA clients
First-hand experience with Naval shipyard and/or Naval maintenance facilities
