    Job Title: Computer Forensics Investigations Technician

    Company: Criminal Intelligence Division, Police Department, City of Oklahoma City

    JOB SUMMARY

    This position in the Criminal Intelligence Division at the Oklahoma City Police Department involves investigating cases from a digital perspective. Duties include gathering and analyzing evidence from various electronic devices like computers, mobile phones, and tablets using computer/digital forensic analysis techniques.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Conduct forensic examinations of computers and digital media devices.
    • Recover digital and video evidence from crime scenes.
    • Collect, process, and preserve evidence for police investigations.
    • Prepare reports and present findings in court.
    • Coordinate with investigators for criminal prosecution.
    • Maintain evidence files.
    • Perform other assigned duties.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Valid Driver License required.
    • Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) Certification within twelve months of hire.

    SAFETY SENSITIVE STATUS

    This role is designated as safety sensitive under Oklahoma City regulations regarding marijuana use.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Primarily indoors, in a climate-controlled environment.
    • Frequent on-call requirements.
    • Exposure to disturbing content and occasionally hazardous environments.
    • Varied work hours and occasional travel.

    PHYSICAL EFFORT

    • Manual and finger dexterity for equipment operation.
    • Strength to lift up to 25 lbs.
    • Near vision for reading and drafting written communications.
    • Effective hearing and speech for communication.
