- Oversee all aspects of enrollment, student information system, state reporting requirements, pupil accounting
- Handle all aspects of new employee hiring, both district and contracted employees, such as SchoolsOpen, EduSTAFF processing, badges, keys, health insurance, salary, etc.
- Compile district and contracted payroll for payroll processing
- Assists the Board of Education with communication, meetings, trainings, policies, and record keeping
- Process School of Choice applications and ensure all school of choice requirements are met
- Process invoices and complete Accounts Payable check run
- Work with Genesee Intermediate School District to ensure an accurate pupil accounting audit
- Import REP, TSDL, SID, MSDS, and other state requirements
- Submit bid notices and ensure all details are in place for a bid opening
- LASO coordinator who handles background checks
- Process staff absences and substitute teacher attendance, along with monitoring timecards
- Create purchase orders and check requests
- Assist parents and vendors with concerns and/or needs
- Assist the Superintendent by answering phone calls and multiple other duties
- Process accident reports and worker's compensation claims
- Maintain health, vision, dental, life insurance and disability, offering annual open enrollment
- Assist in the publication and posting of job postings
- All other duties as assigned
- Assists building secretaries
- The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
- Secretarial experience is required
- Notary Public will be required if the chosen applicant does not have an official Notary license
- Knowledge of Michigan schools and student information systems is beneficial
- Ability to prioritize duties and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
- Problem-solving skills and ability to communicate with parents, staff, and community members
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Applications
