    Corporate Resources, on behalf of our client located in Chicago, IL, is hiring for a full-time, permanent Event and Tradeshow Specialist.

    Event and Tradeshow Specialist – Chicago, IL

    $60,000-$70,000 - Annually + Full Benefits and Bonus

    The Event and Tradeshow Specialist supports marketing with tradeshow coordination and internal events, working closely with appropriate managers and the Marketing Department. This position is responsible for our local and national tradeshow preparation and managing agency support, including delivery, set-up, take-down, and shipping all materials. This position will also help to drive internal events and improve our customer experience.

    Responsibilities include:

    • In charge of overall pre-show planning, outlining each step needed before, during, and after the event in coordination with the marketing team; including booth design, event themes, and ordering/compiling all necessary materials and supplies.
    • Research new tradeshow/booth concepts and lead tactics to continuously improve event ROI; including working with global counterparts to share innovative ideas and successes.
    • Manage tradeshow needs with each internal stakeholder involved to ensure cross-functional consistency with planning (show documents, payments, reservations, etc.).
    • Ensure each phase of the event is within budget and track tactics yearly for review.
    • Monitor other brands at events to report unique offerings and innovative tactics that may shift future strategy.
    • Work with marketing counterparts to ensure all attendees and staff know their roles at the event and have all the information they need.
    • Ideate with the marketing team to bring creative concepts that feature our products in unique ways or applications to drive traffic to booth areas when needed.
    • Manage set-up and break down of the booth as required and manage inventory and outbound shipping needs for all trade show materials.
    • Support and drive internal special projects/events working in collaboration with HR and the Social Committee (i.e., holiday/employee-related events).
    • Lead any miscellaneous marketing projects and tasks as assigned by management.

    Requirements include:

    • Must have 1+ years of event management experience at a corporate level.
    • Must be resourceful and a self-starter who enjoys working independently and with a team.
    • Must be willing to travel for special events, sporadically in a given year.
    • Must be able to communicate courteously and apply the concept of 'good customer service.'
    • The ability to think quickly on your feet and have problem-solving skills.
