    PRACTICE OVERVIEW: Jefferson Radiology is proud to be the largest radiology group in Connecticut. Jefferson is affiliated with Radiology Partners (RP), a leading radiology practice in the U.S. RP and Jefferson Radiology work daily towards a shared mission to transform radiology.     POSITION SUMMARY: Jefferson's network comprises nine imaging centers with varying hours of operation. We seek motivated Mammography Technologists and Interventional Mammography Technologists to join the Jefferson team. Positions are available at multiple offices with various schedules, depending on the location.     POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs diagnostic general x-ray exams, mammography, fluoroscopy, and bone densitometry with high quality and productivity
    • Operates relevant equipment and computer systems proficiently, including RIS and PACS
    • Reviews requisitions, interviews patients for medical history, prepares and positions patients for exams, reviews images for quality and abnormalities, completes documentation and file notations, and performs QC and patient tests according to protocol.
    • Provides excellent patient care and service, explains procedures to reduce anxiety, tracks patients from start to discharge, and assists radiologists as needed.
    • Manages non-technical protocol process, ensuring proper patient prep, monitoring missing requisitions, verifying requisition completeness and accuracy, evaluating requisitions for matching exams, scheduling exams appropriately
    • Stock supplies and maintain the cleanliness of scan rooms and dressing rooms.
    • Participates in department duties and meetings for patient-centered service and collaborates with others in and out of the department
    • Demonstrates and promotes Jefferson Radiology values, maintains professional attitude and appearance, consults with co-workers and supervisor as necessary
    • Adheres to Jefferson Radiology policies and procedures, including Compliance, HIPAA, OSHA, licensing, and accreditation guidelines; reviews policy and procedure manuals annually.

    DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • A Connecticut State Radiologic License is required
    • ARRT Certification required
    • CPR (BLS) Certification, required
    • ARRT Mammography certification is preferred. Candidates without their Mammography certification will be expected to obtain it within 12 months from the hire date or six months from becoming board-eligible.
    • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field and experience and training in Bone Densitometry, preferred.
    • Experience with radiology information systems preferred.
    • Must demonstrate excellent communication and patient care skills.
