    Description

    Job description:

    Promote a safety-first culture using a Safety Management System, involving employees, supervisors, and plant leaders.

    Create and enforce EHS programs, policies, and procedures to meet regulations and reduce risks.

    Manage cost-effective compliance, safety, and environmental efforts, including projects.

    Oversee waste management and zero-waste strategies.

    Integrate EHS into plant processes, assess, and fix issues.

    Handle EHS training programs.

    Investigate incidents, find causes, and take actions to reduce harm and environmental impact.

    Ensure compliance with environmental rules and corporate EHS standards.

    Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies. Qualifications:

    Bachelor's or master's degree in safety, environmental, health, chemistry, or related field.

    Minimum 7 years of EHS experience in manufacturing.

    Proficiency in OSHA and EPA regulations.

    PSM Ammonia experience is essential.

    Multisite manufacturing experience is a plus.

    Knowledge of Texas DEQ regulations.

    Strong background in both safety and environmental/health aspects.

    Experience in managing direct reports in a complex unionized environment.
