Duties:


  • You will serve as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead/Senior IT Project Manager (PM) in the NIWC Atlantic IPT/Competency Aligned Organization (CAO).
  • You will be accountable for meeting the cost, schedule, and performance expectations of assigned projects with regards to planning, direction, and success of IT program/systems development and research or technology.
  • You will manage the execution of a common family of complex Enterprise IT systems programs/ projects, evaluate and ensure consistency and accuracy of stakeholder requirements and assess the feasibility of new IT technologies.
  • You will manage the research, development, test, evaluation, engineering, integration and sustainment to meet mission requirements of enterprise IT project(s)/programs(s).
  • You will manage major project(s)/program(s) extensive in scope; leveraging information technology concepts to resolve a variety of technological problems and develop advanced systems.
  • You will represent the command within high level committees and groups with the responsibility and authority to defend the activity's position, influence resource allocation, and effect major changes to project(s)/program(s) goals.
  • You will plan, monitor, control, and report on program activities through the development of project management, acquisition and engineering planning documentation following industry and command best practices.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travelrelated purchases.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M for specialty area 802 level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications:


  • Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
    GS13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following
:
Lead/manage Business Applications In-Service Engineering Agent programs/projects for Logistics Business System to include meeting the cost, schedule, and performance expectations of assigned programs


Qualifying experience may include:

Manage program costs; Execute risk management plans; Develop and execute IT project acquisition plans..- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
