Summary

Schwaab Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. As a small manufacturing company, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and innovation in our industry. The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in overseeing our financial operations and ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary..

Assist with month end and year-end closing process.
Execute monthly closing entries related to balance sheet accounts.
Reconcile bank accounts and other company financial accounts; investigate discrepancies in accounts and make corrections as needed.
Assist the Director of Finance with monthly financial statement preparation.
Engage in accounts payable and accounts receivable management and collections efforts.
Provide support during annual audits and assist with payroll-related inquiries from auditors.
Accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, including salary and hourly workers, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Assist with other special accounting projects as requested.
Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Four year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, bank statements, and accounting regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate to managers and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as account balances, appropriate tax, discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Other Qualifications

Requires the ability to operate various office equipment to include a computer, calculator, and copier. Requires a working knowledge of spreadsheet software. Requires an attention to detail. Requires knowledge of company products and accounting system.
