Description
A Pediatric Inpatient RN is responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients in the general pediatrics unit. This position requires implementing and documenting individualized care plans incorporating age-specific considerations and discharge planning.Additional responsibilities include assisting with special tests and procedures, administering medication, maintaining a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families, and participating in educational programs.
The ideal candidate must be a program graduate, a nationally accredited nursing graduate, and hold an RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM.
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provisional or Professional Rescuers certification is essential.
The position requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.
