    Description
    A Pediatric Inpatient RN is responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients in the general pediatrics unit. This position requires implementing and documenting individualized care plans incorporating age-specific considerations and discharge planning.

    Additional responsibilities include assisting with special tests and procedures, administering medication, maintaining a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families, and participating in educational programs.

    The ideal candidate must be a program graduate, a nationally accredited nursing graduate, and hold an RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM.

    CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provisional or Professional Rescuers certification is essential.


    The position requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.

    Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Working conditions include hazardous chemicals and biohazardous materials that require personal protective equipment.
