- Respond to requests for technical, price, delivery, and service information.
- Provide advice on the appropriate application of each company product.
- Develop and implement a sales strategy in conjunction with the Sales Manager.
- Identifies and penetrates OEM and Tier companies and coordinates strategy with the Sales Manager.
- Identifies new application opportunities and unique market requirements, consults with the Sales Manager and Application Experts on special solutions.
- Maintain current knowledge of new and existing products and applications.
- Prepares customer price quotations.
- Assists in preparing special project proposals as required.
- Attend and support exhibitions, conference, and industry association meetings.
- Supports the introduction of Kistler products with customers through direct on-site support potentially including product installation and training for customer engineers and technicians.
- Acts as an expert at trade shows to help market Kistler products and generates new business opportunities.
- Develop relationships with customer to ensure needs in the product are defined.
- Bachelor degree in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited four (4) year college is required.
- Must have 3+ years of technical sales experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office products.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- A current and valid driver's license and passport are required.
- Physical requirements: ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Travel requirements: available to travel 60% of the time by car.
- Airline travel is required as well as occasional trips abroad for training.
- Experience in the application of force, pressure and torque transducers, associated electronics, software, and controls to measure, monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes in the application areas addressed by those products.
- Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and assembly operations a plus.
