    Description

    A fast-growing and dynamic investment firm in La Jolla is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to join their team This is an exciting role to work directly with the many moving parts of the firm as well as its investors. Under the supervision of the firm's Chief Operating Officer and the guidance of outside counsel, the Corporate Paralegal will provide a wide spectrum of transactional services, ranging from tracking investment-related documents to drafting routine contracts, preparing reports, and managing contract abstraction projects. Please note: this is a fully onsite position based in La Jolla, California.

    Job Duties:

    • Prepare investment-related legal documents, including subscription documents and responses to AML/KYC requests. Maintain contact with over 50 investors, tracking receipt of essential documents.
    • Draft, review and maintain contracts including employment agreements, operating contracts, and vendor agreements, while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant legal requirements.
    • Proactive monitor ongoing projects, tracking follow-up items and ensuring timely completion.
    • Work closely with outside counsel and other team members to facilitate efficient workflow and deliver high-quality service.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate strong preferred.
    • 5-10+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal, preferably in a large law firm environment.
    • Strong understanding of corporate law principles and procedures, particularly in Fund Formation and Private Equity matters.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and review.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal team members, outside counsel and clients.

    Compensation/Benefits: The compensation range for this exempt position is $110,000-$170,000+ commensurate with experience.
