    The Service Manager leads the quality assurance and maintenance of our moped fleet. You will collaborate with a dynamic group of individuals from a variety of departments to drive efficiency in processes, run experiments, and make data-driven decisions to increase and maintain healthy esupply and inventory. You will hire and lead a team of talented individuals, while defining the standards and processes needed to have optimal fleet health. Duties and priorities assigned may change due to business needs. Successful managers must ensure they possess soft skills.

    **Requirements:**

    Must be at least 21 years of age.

    Must have 3-5 years management experience in the automotive repair industry.

    Must have a clean, valid drivers license and are experienced driving in NYC.

    Must be comfortable driving commercial vehicles.

    Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.

    Must be able to regularly stoop, bend, walk and stand for long periods of time.

    Must be committed to quality and safety in the warehouse and on the road.

    Excellent organizational and motivational skills.

    Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.

    Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

    Be a culture carrier. Create a fun, inclusive, and safe workplace.

    **Responsibilities and duties overview:**

    Ensure all service techs are trained and competent in all aspects of the job.

    Coach and support Associate Service Managers with leading their teams

    Hold Service Managers accountable for having regular check-ins with their direct reports, completing performance reviews, maintaining quality control standards, and communicating changes to the team.

    Report to Head of Service, and Head of NYC Operations on status of team and service operations, and appropriately escalate issues.

    Work closely with the Head of Service and Service Management in other warehouses to remain below backlog targets.

    Work closely with the supply chain to maintain your shop's burn rates for the purposes of forecasting parts usage and creating purchase orders, fulfill transfer requests, file warranty claims, perform periodic stock counts, and salvage parts.

    Monitor field service assignments using the dispatch app to ensure proper documentation of work and overall performance of service techs in your warehouse.

    Be accountable for maintaining a safe environment in the shop: zero stop-work incidents.

    Identify malfunctioning or flawed parts on the moped, escalate to the Head of Service, and communicate to the team what to look for and how to address it.

    Work closely with the Legal and Claims teams to evaluate and document all accident mopeds and mopeds in Legal Hold.

    Diagnose and create work orders for mopeds coming into the workshop and ensure that all tasks are documented correctly in the app. Identify trends in moped malfunction or field damage.

    Maintain a safe and organized flow with regards to moped intake and storage. Physically move up to 200 mopeds per day.

    Regularly evaluate service vehicles and document services required. Ensure that the service vehicles are appropriately stocked with the necessary parts, materials, and tools.

    Order supplies when needed.

    Define hiring needs, build a business case for additional headcount, perform interviews and train new team members.

    Communicate and document issues with the performance of staff.

    Conduct check-ins with direct reports quarterly.

    Use data to optimize processes, creatively solve problems, and track results. Collaborate with Service and Operations Managers across the system to innovate and evolve our service.

    Communicate with engineering and product teams to provide app feedback.
