    Description

    Kaplan Nursery School of Sutton Place Synagogue is are seeking a creative and passionate Head Pre-K Teacher to implement a developmentally appropriate and progressive curriculum in a play based Early Childhood program for the school year. There is a balance between teacher initiated and child centered activities. This position is part of a two person team. This position will report directly to the Early Childhood Director. This is a full-time position and exempt from overtime. If you want to be part of a collaborative team with passionate early childhood educators, this may be the setting for you

    Master's Degree preferably in Early Childhood Education/ Special Education.

    Minimum of 2 years as a Head Teacher in an Early Childhood Setting.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Communicates positively with parents and colleagues.

    Excellent written skills for School Reports, including ISAAGNY Reports, Parent Teacher Conference, and weekly Newsletters/ Blogs

    Strong Computer Skills

    Experience teaching within a Project Based and Child Centered Curriculum

    Medical Clearance, Completed Fingerprinting and NYCDOH A1 Series Background Check
