Consultant - US MEP & Commissioning Engineers

Are you ready to take on a leadership role and make a significant impact in the rapidly growing data center industry? Join a leading hyperscale Data Center firm in the US as Project Manager.

As a key member of their direct leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in accomplishing their mission and delivering exceptional results for the firms clients, through top-notch project management.

Responsibilities

Responding to new project opportunities:

You will be responsible for presenting proposals and credentials to their esteemed clients, participating in business development functions, and working towards developing viable business opportunities.

Contract and scope management:
Develop a thorough understanding of the contract and scope of work for the projects under your management. Represent the firm's interests in delivering services in accordance with contractual requirements and company standards.

Project planning and budgeting:

Create and manage an overall milestone schedule for the project, including all facets of project development from owner and design to construction team activities.

Efficiently manage the budgeting process, estimating, value engineering, and meeting client's budgetary expectations.

Resource projection and team management:
Utilize accounting systems to project resource requirements and forecast revenue and expenses for projects under your supervision.

Lead and manage multiple members of the Cx team, including Project Managers, estimators, vendors, and, in some cases, the entire team in a design-build scenario.

Commissioning and Quality Assurance:
Lead, supervise, and mentor multiple Project Assistants and Commissioning Engineers in commissioning projects. Develop positive working relationships with all subcontractors and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.

Document control and communication:

Oversee the document control process and maintain constant communication with clients, construction, and design teams to ensure project progress is on track.

Financial management:
Manage all financial aspects of the project, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue projections, and project closeout.

Project closeout:
Complete the project close-out process, including commissioning reports, as-built documentation, and operations/maintenance manuals.

Administrative duties:

Perform necessary administrative duties such as mailing correspondence, ordering company equipment and supplies, faxing documents, and maintaining filing systems.

Requirements
Proven experience in the Data Center or Mission Critical industry is essential for this role.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in the Commissioning industry.
Demonstrated expertise in project management and successful completion of large-scale projects.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
Proficiency in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Detail-oriented and committed to delivering quality results within established timelines.
Flexibility to manage multiple activities simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
