    Job Description:

    Preferred Qualifications:

    We are seeking a Liquidity Manager for the TDS US wholesale segment. This role is responsible for driving liquidity strategy, overseeing inputs into liquidity measures, providing input into modelling assumptions and policy, and helping ensure compliance with all governance requirements.

    Job Overview:
    • Subject matter expertise for TDS US under US Enhanced Prudential Standards and US LCR
    • Close interaction with TDS front office teams and other support functions, including TBSM (Canada and US), in evaluating new businesses/products/trades, optimization and strategy opportunities, assumption reviews, projections, and stress testing modeling (for TDS US)
    • Oversight and review of monthly reporting of liquidity metrics
    • Governance & oversight of intercompany credit approvals
    • Support contingency funding plan (CFP) documentation
    • Regulatory reporting, data management or liquidity management experience, preferably in Data Management, Controllers, Treasury or a Business with an understanding of liquidity-based data, metrics, regulatory reporting, analytics, and applicable regulations such as US LCR, US NSFR, and FR 2052a reporting
    • Working knowledge of FR 2052a reporting is a plus
    • A history of implementing reporting with a system of internal controls
    • Candidate should be proactive to lead the work associated with data requirements and issues management, be a change-agent to effectively implement process improvements and help the TBSM and Finance teams execute towards the target solution
    • Experience in a transformation environment including process and technology change management
    Job Requirements:
    • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Business/Accounting/Financial Management or other related field
    • Experience with liquidity requirements (preferably US rules)
    • Understanding of capital markets businesses
    • Understanding of Excel/database management platforms; experience with Alteryx strongly preferred
    • Motivated individual with relationship building skills and the proven ability to drive results
    • Strong analytical skills and comfort operating in a dynamic business environment
    • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines
    • Confident presentation and communication skills
    The VP, Specialized Finance Manager, TDS provides seasoned specialized knowledge, advice and/or guidance to various stakeholders and team members in a specialized finance function or discipline.

    Depth & Scope:
    • Highly seasoned expert professional role requiring substantial knowledge / expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas
    • Integrates knowledge of the enterprise sub-function's or business line's overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations
    • Accountable for own work and sometimes others; acts as an escalation point or knowledge resource for others in their own area
    • Interprets internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services
    • Acts as a technical expert / lead integrating cross-function understanding within their own field of specialty; may manage team(s) of related specialists
    • Leads cross-functional teams or projects with significant resource requirements, risk and / or complexity
    • Independently manages end-to-end finance programs
    • Solves or may lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions
    • Uses sophisticated analytical thought and technical knowledge to exercise judgement and identify solutions
    • Impacts the achievement of sub-function or business line objectives within the area they are accountable for
    • Communicates difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders
    • Works autonomously as the lead and guides others within area of expertise
    Education & Experience:
    • Undergraduate degree and/or
    • 7+ years of relevant experience preferred
    • Accounting, financial or relevant professional designation preferred
    Customer Accountabilities:
    • Focuses on comprehensive reviews, specialized analysis, audits and/or initiatives and a variety of complex projects and initiatives requiring seasoned specialist knowledge and/or the integration of cross functional processes within own area of expertise
    • Facilitates integration of several key functional areas and/or business lines in dealing and solving highly complex financial management/ specialized accounting / taxation / audit / regulatory reporting and operational issues
    • Acts as the primary interface with Finance partners /leaders and external parties
    • Acts as key contact and expert within area of expertise for the development, design and delivery of effective accounting/ taxation processes, policies, programs and advice
    • Maintains awareness of changing legal/regulatory requirements and practices within the industry and consults with policy/process owners within Accounting/ Taxation to ensure compliance
    • Engages, manages and influences internal/external cross-functional partners to develop/deliver integrated solutions
    • Accountable for the development and delivery of broad enterprise wide accounting/ taxation policies and initiatives, which may have significant regulatory components
    • Creates business cases and innovative recommendations
    • Executes on diverse and complex policies, implements and develops activities and tools for businesses. Supports financial strategy and management activities
    Shareholder Accountabilities:
    • Adheres to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for our business area
    • Ensures respective programs/policies/practices are well managed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business priorities
    • Consistently exercisse discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalates issues where appropriate
    • Ensures business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements ( e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and physical control of assets)
    • Participates in cross-functional / enterprise / initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations
    • Conducts internal and external research projects; supports the development/ delivery of presentations / communications to management or broader audience
    • Conducts meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/ policies/ practices
    • Monitors service, productivity and assesses efficiency levels within own function and implements continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities exist
    • Leads / facilitates and/or implements actions / remediation plans to address performance / risk /governance issues
    • Actively manages relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensures alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements
    • Keeps abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assesses potential impacts
    • Maintains a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
