Enbridge is hiring a Risk Analysis & Diagnostics Supervisor with extensive experience in risk and reliability assessments of pipeline system assets using standard and nonstandard tools and techniques. The Supervisor must be an exceptional communicator and presenter to support department objectives and stakeholder's requests.

Additionally, the Supervisor will be responsible for identifying and managing continuous improvement activities and develop tools, processes, and methodologies to enhance the capabilities of Gas Transmission & Midstream (GTM) Risk Management.


Here's what you will do:
Supervise the completion of quantitative assessment of risks associated with the operation and integrity of gas transmission, gas processing, and gas storage assets, following standard and nonstandard processes. Ensure support is provided for consequence and risk assessment models (or other complex tasks) through providing technical judgement, reliability knowledge, and other areas of technical expertise. Ensures the team continuously improve the assessment tools and development of new techniques through:
  • Researching relevant literature
Performing feasibility studies and systemwide analysis Building business cases for improvement ideas Performing automation and improvement of existing models Communicate effectively highly technical results and analysis methodologies used in standard and nonstandard assessments, results, limitations, etc. to internal and external stakeholders through presentations and written communications. Drive Integrity Core Process implementation and critical riskinformed decision making and planning. Task and guide team members and/or external consultants to support project tasks. Develop and maintain processes, procedures, and work instructions. Encourage the team to develop industry publications and technical reports to support industry advancement.


Who you are:

You have:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of technical experience in two or more of the following areas:

  • Risk Management related to Oil & Gas assets.
  • Pipeline integrity related projects and programs.
  • Researchrelated projects requiring review of industry literature, interpretation of a variety data types, and generation of conclusions and recommendations based on findings.
  • Quantitative/probabilistic risk assessments.
  • Structural reliability models.
  • Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Fault Tree models.
  • Bayesian networks.
  • Knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 192, ASME B31.8S, CSA Z662, OSHA , Z767, API 1173, ISO 3100 and other industry regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in managing data through Excel, Pivot Tables and Power BI.
  • Experience with programing languages like VBA in Excel, Octave/MATLAB coding, Python or R.
  • Strong organizational, time management and planning skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills related both to technical problems and project management.
  • Strong technical writing skills.

Preferred Assets:
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Engineering, Statistics or AI/ML. Experience with pipeline integrity reliability and risk software. Professional Engineering designation.


Working Conditions:
Typical office environment. Required to manage tight timelines with limited information in some instances.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
