- Collect, enter, and organize data from various sources including surveys, interviews, and administrative records.
- Maintain data stability and quality across agency databases including the MSHMIS database, Avalon Services EHR, and legacy property management software.
- Develop, maintain, and improve resource libraries accessible through internal staff portals.

- Use quality control checks to track performance and compliance in identified areas
- Participate in Avalon's Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) Committee, assisting with the collection and analysis of performance data, and defining and implementing improvement plans.

The Quality Assurance and Data Specialist delivers exceptional data and technology services throughout the agency, with a specific emphasis on the Michigan State Homeless Management Information System (MSHMIS) and Avalon's internal Electronic Health Record (EHR), as well as supporting the flow of information between these databases and legacy property management software. Collaborating with multiple teams and departments, the Quality Assurance and Data Specialist addresses data and technology-related issues and requirements by ensuring data integrity and facilitating timely reporting and decision-making.
