- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety or relevant work experience
- 3+ years of experience in Health and Safety
- Managing issues in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Strong knowledge and experience in federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software
- Experience compiling and analyzing data
- Must have OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience working in a food production/distribution environment
- Experience managing direct or indirect reports
- Experience with DOT safety
- Conduct monthly meetings with site safety coordinators to discuss trends and safety initiatives
- Perform risk and hazard assessments, site visits, and safety inspections for region sites
- Monitor and execute corrective actions based on safety audits
- Collaborate with safety coordinators and provide training
- Review incident trends and meet with leadership to determine improvements
- Evaluate site safety coordinator performance
- Assist sites in implementing health and safety policies
- Support centers through incident investigation processes
- Be a technical resource for safety regulations
- Train site-based management on safety matters
- Manage incident investigations and provide reports to leadership
- Ensure consistency with safety policies and expectations
- Provide guidance for safety initiatives
- Collect and present regional data during safety calls
- Collaborate on OSHA matters to resolve safety issues
