    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    :

    This position is responsible for leading the implementation and continuous improvement of NCMEC's outreach and training programs for professionals in law enforcement, social services as well as other child-serving organizations and agencies. The primary area of responsibility will be to focus on quality assurance practices such as data management and monitoring, efficient project management, and consistency across NCMEC's outreach and training programs. The individual holding this position will also serve as facilitator and NCMEC representative at law enforcement, public safety, and other related trainings, conferences, and meetings nationwide.

    This position requires an enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate who possesses experience in education/training, criminal justice systems, or child protection, as well as program design and evaluation.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

    The Outreach & Training Program Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with team members across the Community Engagement Team to coordinate across areas of responsibility, including assisting with project management tasks for hosted trainings, content development, other cross-divisional internal initiatives, or external collaborative projects.
  • Lead the Community Engagement teams' efforts to collect and manage data related to all programs of work including (but not limited to): our online learning platform (NCMEC Connect), participants in NCMEC-hosted trainings, and presentations delivered at professional conferences.
  • Work closely with NCMEC's Monitoring and Evaluation team to leverage data effectively to better understand the reach and impact of Community Engagement's programs by maintaining project management trackers and contributing to the identification, monitoring, and reporting of key organizational metrics and strategic planning.
  • Ensuring on-time completion of grant and funder data reporting tools such as the Quarterly Progress Report and other requests for data from stakeholders.
  • Support the team's daily activities and special projects, in addition to organization-wide efforts to unify and professionalize NCMEC messaging and resources for external audiences.
  • Assist the Senior Training Program Manager and the Senior Outreach Program Manager with reviewing content for our training and outreach programs and ensuring presentation slides and other assets are accurate, high-quality, and consistent with NCMEC's branding guidelines.
  • Supervise several members of the outreach and/or training staff as designated by the Director of Community Engagement.
  • Support the Outreach and Training staff as needed to prepare for and support on and off-site
    training/use of Walsh Training Center.
  • Promote a professional image.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, Law Enforcement officials, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
  • Respond promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to correspondence

  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Public or Non-profit or Business Administration, or relevant discipline required. Masters' Degree preferred.
  • At least 8 (eight) years of professional experience required.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in a discipline related to child protection (social services/child welfare, law enforcement, mental health, etc.) highly preferred.
  • Experience with public speaking and/or conducting training sessions for law enforcement, public
    safety, child-serving, or other relevant professional groups highly preferred.
  • Project management experience required.
  • Supervisory / Management experience required.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effective on teams, including as a supervisor and a project manager.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage data collection processes and to analyze and explain findings or implications of evaluation data.
  • Knowledge of word processing, presentation graphics, and other related applications.
  • Ability to travel locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally to accomplish
    job duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to inform, instruct, teach and/or present to audiences of all types.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to work as part of a team or in an individual capacity.
  • Ability to handle and maintain the integrity and confidentiality of highly sensitive
    material and information.
