**Job Overview:**
APTIM is pleased to announce an immediate opening for a **Senior** **Civil / Environmental Engineer** in our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office to support our exciting portfolio of projects. Our Pittsburgh office operates as the consulting and engineering center for APTIM's Solid Waste Engineering Division, and as a hub for our Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Group. We provide the following services to both the public and private sectors:
+ Investment into your personal and professional development
+ Local siting and zoning,
+ Facility design and permitting
+ Stormwater modeling and management plan development
+ Construction oversight
+ Operations and maintenance
+ Hydrogeologic and geotechnical investigations
+ Environmental compliance audits
+ Facility closure and redevelopment plans
+ Solid waste planning and public education
+ Environmental site assessments and remediation

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Leading teams or projects
+ Providing technical oversight and quality control
+ Anticipating client needs and identifying solutions
+ Utilizing skills and knowledge to solve complex problems
+ Preparing engineering calculations and supporting analyses
+ Developing design plans and reports
+ Preparing and managing, scopes, budgets and schedules
+ Coordinating with contractors and clients
+ Collaborating with other team members
+ Attending client meetings
+ Providing other duties as required
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ BS/MS Environmental or Civil Engineering
+ Professional Engineer (PE) License
years of Landfill / Solid Waste experience
+ Ability to work on multidisciplinary project work
+ Excellent oral & written communication skills
+ Ability to work in a team environment
+ Self-starter and problem solver
+ Excellent organizational skills
**Desired Qualification:**
+ Knowledge of AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS software, a plus
+ Knowledge of landfill operations and solid waste projects, a plus
+ Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, a plus
