    Description

    Gen II, one of the largest Private Equity Fund Administrators, is looking for a Global Controller to join our growing Finance Team.The Global Controller role is a high profile, hands-on role reporting into the Gen II Global Chief Financial Officer and having 3 direct reports.The position is responsible for the integrity of the US financial statements, timely and accurate submission of the monthly results, Income Statement and Balance Sheet Variance Commentaries and ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SEC requirements and Gen II Standard Policies and Procedures. The position is also responsible for all aspects of the Business Controls environment throughout the world as well as working capital reporting (actual & budget/forecast). A commercial mindset is required that will balance with the accounting and technical reporting aspects of the job responsibilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Demonstrate a strong tone at the top across the Gen II worldwide organization with respect to corporate governance, controls, accountability, and commitment to excellence
    • Provide the Executive Leadership Team with advice on both the financial and accounting implications of business activities including new business lines, technologies and unique contractual arrangements
    • Take ownership of the balance sheet and demonstrate financial risk management in all business decisions in order to mitigate the probability of write-offs.
    • An in-depth understanding accounting principles and GAAP is required in order to ensure the accurate presentation of Gen II Financial Results.
    • Improve and drive current B/S metric reporting.
    • Manage working capital budgeting and forecasting. Treasury experience would be a plus.
    • Oversee the month-end and quarterly close process and ensure adherence to GAAP. Discuss and resolve any issues with the IPG Controller and/or PWC.
    • Support the adoption of new technologies across the organization such that financial and accounting
    • controls and processes continue to improve and be more efficient.
    • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors
    Qualifications:
    • 10+ years' work experience (public / private mix) with prior big four experience
    • A CPA is required with experience in most areas of GAAP with a heavy focus on the ASC 606 revenue
    • recognition standard
    • Experience in the Private Equity space is a major plus factor but not required
    • Experience managing staff both domestically and internationally
    • Ability to write and communicate effectively with all levels of Gen II
    • Needs to be a team player and be able to balance commercial needs with accounting requirements
    • SAP / Hyperion / Smart-view knowledge preferred but not required
    Work Arrangement

    All applicants applying to Gen II Fund Services, LLC must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note that all US employees are required to work a hybrid schedule, comprised of two (2) days a week in our office and three (3) days remotely.
