    About the job Medical Assistant - Corporate

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing home based medical and pharmacy practice providing primary care to aging seniors. This role is based out of our administrative offices in Richmond, VA. At Home Harmony is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and friendly person to serve as its Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant supports our nursing staff and is responsible for demonstrating superior customer service and tackling tasks with the utmost professionalism. Applicants must be a team player and can multi-task and work independently.

    The Medical Assistant will be responsible for:

    1. Returning patient calls; providing consistent/timely communication and answering clinical questions
    2. Coordinating medication delivery and injection administration
    3. Adhering to procedures for ordering, processing and tracking lab specimens and other diagnostic testing
    4. Securing prior authorizations and referrals as needed for medications, treatments and procedures
    5. Drawing blood in patients homes, as needed
    6. Delivering equipment to patients homes, as needed
    7. Adhering to clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics
    8. Maintaining positive relationships with Care Concierge and At Home Harmony staff
    9. Attending training sessions and clinical team meetings, as requested
    10. Serving as an ambassador for At Home Harmony and maintaining professional demeanor
    Applicants must have:
    1. Prior medical assisting experience, family/geriatric medicine experience, preferred
    2. Working knowledge of remote patient monitoring and chronic care management services under Medicare, preferred
    3. Proficient computer skills with strong knowledge of EMR; Athena EMR, preferred
    4. Strong communication skills
    5. Outgoing and friendly personality
    6. Professional demeanor
    7. Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
    8. Strong proactive work ethic
    9. Ability to adapt and be flexible to changes and needs of facility and company
    Schedule:
    1. M-F, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (30 min lunch)
    2. 90% of time will be based out of the office; 10% of time will be in the field drawing blood and delivering equipment to patients homes.
