    Join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of others We are looking for an Intake Assistant for our Intake team.

    **Department & Position Overview:**

    People on our team all possess a real passion for helping people, which is one of our companys core values. You will ensure our customers receive the level of care and attention they deserve. You'll pride yourself on your ability to problem solve and take ownership for each customer request ensuring that we always do the right thing for our members.

    As a company contracted with over 30 health plans and servicing many counties in New York State, this role is created to support intake specialists in enrolling patients and caregivers into the program through backend operational work. This work includes healthplan communications and case auditing.

    **Everyday You Will:**

    Review patient and caregiver files to determine quickest course of action to enroll

    Communicate with Health Insurance Companies and doctors offices via email and phone to obtain authorizations and updates on patients ability to join FreedomCare

    Audit paperwork submitted by patient and caregivers to ensure they are in compliance with New York State and County regulations

    Provide health plans with updates on their patients through verbally and in written form

    Suggest alternative ways to enroll patients to case managers

    **Ideal Candidate Will Possess:**

    Detail oriented and able to review cases from many different perspectives

    Proven exceptional customer service, case management

    Motivated to help patients/caregivers

    Must have poise and patience when dealing with clients

    Excellent written and verbal skills

    Computer proficiency required; strong typing skills and ability to leverage technology to identify, research and solve customer issues

    Strong care and commitment to helping people with disabilities

    **Nice-to-Haves:**

    Experience in working with health insurance companies, specifically obtaining authorizations.

    Experience using Salesforce

    Be able to have excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish

    This role is based out of one of the following locations: Lake Success, NY; New York, NY; Orlando, FL. For now, we are entirely remote until it is completely safe for our employees to be back in the office.
