Corus International is seeking a Gift Processing Coordinator to join its Global Relationships and Resources Department. This position will be based in our Baltimore, Maryland office.

This is a hybrid remote position working two days each week in the office with Tuesday as a core office day.


Job Brief:


The Gifts Processing Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate recording and processing of donor contributions including individual gifts, planned and bequest gifts, and other fundraising donations.

S/he ensures stewardship of gifts, maintains strict confidentiality and executes sound judgement, discretion and confidentiality.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform daily gift processing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure pledges and gifts are appropriately coded and entered in Raiser's Edge.
  • Generate and send gift receipts and donor acknowledgement letters.
  • Process checks, credit card and other donations and ensure timely bank deposits.
  • Reconcile gift batches with Raisers Edge and prepare batches for daily deposit.
  • Routinely review, update and maintain data records to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  • Maintain confidentiality of donor files and financial documents, including gift history, donor correspondence and contact reports.
  • Update biographical data in Raisers Edge as provided by constituents on checks and other correspondence.
  • Create financial summary reports for Finance & Accounting for reconciliation and financial audit of donations.
  • Function as primary point of contact for outside banking institutions, financial representatives, and will executors and provide excellent customer service.
  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external customers to effectively execute job responsibilities.
  • Supports the monthly gift program, Faithful Neighbor by collecting and tracking donations, responding to inquiries, and managing credit cards.
  • Retrieve information quickly from banking platforms, internal databases and other thirdparty information portals as requested.
  • Assist Donor Relations team with processing returned mail.
  • Assist the fundraising team as needed and serve as the liaison between Donor Relations and Philanthropic Engagement/Donor Advisors.
  • Order and maintain office supplies, postage, postal accounts, and general card inventory and related supplies.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of oneyear professional work experience required.
  • Experience working in a fundraising and/or development environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Proficiency with Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge or other CRM preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Exceptional data entry skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to execute sound judgement, discretion and confidentiality.
  • Task and process orientated with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Accurate and detail oriented.
  • Strong command of business mathematics with ability to track and reconcile data.
  • Superior interpersonal relations skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
