Blackhawk Community Credit Union is looking to add a Digital Communications Marketing Specialist
to our team. The
Digital Communications and Marketing Specialist is responsible for designing and executing effective digital marketing strategies. The
Digital Communications and Marketing Specialist will utilize research, data, and industry insight to enhance company performance, community image and the credit union's brand.


Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Develops, researches, and implements digital marketing strategies and programs to best promote Blackhawk Community Credit Union.
  • Works closely with the Director of Marketing to ensure consistency and collaboration across all marketing channels.
  • Assists the Director of Marketing in developing campaigns to align with our strategic goals.
  • Manages the company website, including all content, edits, performance monitoring, marketing, images, and messages.
  • Coordinates communications to our members including required compliance communications.
  • Represents the marketing department on the Business Intelligence project team, and regularly analyzes such data for trends, opportunities, and strategic communication. Responsible for report management within the data analytics system.
  • Represents the marketing department on the What If Committee and reports any suggestions or updates back to the Administration team.
  • Researches, conducts due diligence, and recommends partners and vendors to ensure our digital channels are up to date, useful, and cost effective.
  • Works with media vendors on targeted campaigns and tracks and presents results.
  • Assists the Director of Community Outreach and Education with financial literacy programs and promotes such programs on our marketing channels.
  • Regularly communicates with the branch manager team to ensure all branches are aware of promotions, campaigns, and other special events for our members.
  • Partners with the innovations department to coordinate new technology that will be memberfacing.
  • Takes a lead role on special projects in Marketing.
  • Assists the Graphic Designer with design work and production as needed.
  • Helps identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation.
  • Ensures that all advertising and promotional activities of Blackhawk Community Credit Union meet compliance with State, Federal and other regulatory agencies' laws, and regulations.
  • Works closely with the entire Administration team to develop regular programs to recognize and motivate staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, maturity, and good judgment.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to analyze and resolve situations independently and in a timely manner.
  • Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess extensive knowledge of social media, digital marketing, and data analytics.
  • Must be comfortable with a rapidly changing environment, complex daily situations, and balancing multiple priorities.
  • Must have reliable attendance and project a professional image.
  • Must possess exceptional computer skills, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Experience with Photoshop and Adobe InDesign is preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to organize and prioritize work, effectively delegate, set deadlines, and maintain accurate records.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pass the preemployment drug test and background check.
  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent level of knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through work experience.
  • 25 years of previous experience in marketing, preferably in a credit union environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations.
  • Previous experience recommending products and plans to improve a customer's financial position.
