- Manage a team of Financial Analysts including coaching and provide objectives to the team to ensure personal development that helps foster career growth.
- Establish consultative relationships with divisional leaders in understanding, developing and interpreting budget, forecast and monthly financial information.
- Develop and lead quarterly and annual management reporting and preparation of executive presentation material for leadership meetings and corporate initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, analyze, and report value-based analysis including scenario planning focused on revenue growth and/or cost optimization.
- Plan, coordinate and lead the budget and forecasting cycles, and variance analysis exercises and provide support to business unit leaders.
- Preparation of the long-term business plan financial model
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to consolidate and integrate financial and non-financial information into meaningful insights about business performance.
- Support in review and development of key performance indicators and benchmarks, with divisional leaders, to support in fulfilment of organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain the tools, models, reports and financial procedures used by FP&A using Oracle EPM.
- Act as subject matter expert (SME) on systems and planning processes and provide feedback on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate complex information in a concise manner that gives Senior Leaders confidence in the underlying analyses.
- Contribute to the knowledge base of the department as it relates to interpreting and applying IFRS, and its associated impacts on reporting, through existing knowledge and research.
- Completion of accounting or finance designation (CPA, CFA, CBV)
- 5+ years' progressive experience in analysis and accounting role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to break down complex financial concepts and communicate without prejudice, while forming collaborative partnerships that engage various levels within the organization, including executive and non-financial managers
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- IFRS Accounting experience a strong asset
- Previous experience with ERP & planning software, including BI tools is an asset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of professional interaction with various levels of operations and other departments
- Ability to self-manage re prioritization of changing prioritizations and tasks
- Works well under pressure with multiple concurrent deadlines

We have a full-time position for a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis in Calgary, AB.
Under the direction and guidance of the Senior VP Finance, the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis will be responsible for oversight of financial planning and analysis activities. You and your team will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting, analysis of operating costs and capital expenditures. Your role will be to lead a team that proactively partners with the business to understand the link between operational and financial results, provide business insights, and be a key financial partner.
The successful candidate has a dynamic role with exceptional business partnering acumen in collaborating with leaders across Black Diamond. In addition to strong analytical and accounting know-how, the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis will have robust experience with financial modeling and utilizing software to consolidate data to analyze system outputs.
