- Assist the Director of Nursing in the management of the nursing department, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management of nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards for long term care
- Coordinate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to provide high-quality resident care
- Develop and manage budgets for the nursing department and ensure financial performance goals are met
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing programs and make recommendations for improvement
- Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the long term care facility
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain resident confidentiality at all times
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and other departments within the long term care facility
- Respond to emergency situations and provide leadership and direction to nursing staff as needed
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in long term care, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and quality standards for long term care
- Ability to develop and manage budgets
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
