Description
CoVantage Credit Union is seeking a skilled and passionate AVP Enterprise Architecture and Solutions to join our mission-driven team in Antigo.
The AVP of Enterprise Architecture and Solutions, works closely with the CIO to establish and maintain the overall technology strategy, roadmap and standards for technology within CoVantage.
Working closely with other IS&T areas, business units as well as various project teams, this role will build application and system architectures, design elements, processes and integrations that ensure adherence to project requirements, technology standards and security best practices, as well as the overall CoVantage business strategy.

JOB DUTIES:
Ensures all projects, implementations and integrations, are done to architect and design standards throughout the credit union.
Prototypes with new technologies to determine how those can be adopted by the credit union.
Determines optimal approaches for each application, system and infrastructure within the credit union and ensures credit union systems are continually achieving performance level expectations.
Works closely with Vice President Digital Services, Manager of Operations, Assistant Vice President of Information Technology, Lead Tech and IT Technical Leads to identify and evaluate new standards and frameworks.
Provides guidance to all teams within IS&T on technology investments and prioritize initiatives based on strategic importance under the CIO's direction.
Evangelizes best practices to IS&T and business units regarding industry standards and best practices.Mentors IS&T Architect team in all areas of design and standard architect practices and approaches.
Works closely with various business units to enhance communication regarding technology investments, systems and applications to ensure business value is communicated appropriately.
Assists, as well as leads, specific committees and other working groupEnsures direct reports are adequately trained, motivated, and have the tools to efficiently and effectively perform their jobs in order to meet the needs of members and the internal departments they work with and/or support.
This includes making sure staff is current on technology; utilizes training and development resources; is compliant with regulations, policies, and procedures.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor's degree in computer related major, information systems or equivalent experience. Certifications such as Microsoft Developer, Certified System Architect, CCNP, CCDE, TOGAF, CISSP, Professional Cloud Solutions Architect, are highly desirable.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Exceptional understanding of infrastructure, applications, and systems. Solid understanding of development methodologies, cloud (Azure/Hybrid), connectivity options, as well as security toolsets. Working knowledge of Project Management (PMBOK) methodology, Continuous Improvement (CI), Scrum and other Agile framework.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A minimum 7-10 years' experience at a high level as the organization primary or lead architect as well as minimum 5+ years' experience at a high-level building and/or configuration of complex systems in either systems, infrastructure, or development areas
Extensive experience at the following:
Executing technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API Strategy.
Ability to design, correlate and architect new environments using infrastructure components, applications, APIs, and web-based platforms as well as legacy systems and applications.
Deep technical understanding in at least two areas such as application development, solution architecture, security (at application or infrastructure level), infrastructure, integrations, cloud, and database platforms.
Ability to present technical as well as operational information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word, solve complex technical problems, and be alert to changes that may affect the security and operational environment of systems, applications or infrastructure.
Understand organizational dynamics between multiple different stakeholders and a strong ability to devise strategies for accomplishing goals under complex circumstances and dynamics.
