    Job Description Systems Administrator Senior Transform technology into opportunity as a Systems Administrator Senior with GDIT at the Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Indo Pacific (JMSC-IP).

    Our work depends on Systems Administrator joining our team to build and enable the readiness of our Nation's Army in the Pacific HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

    • Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
    • Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes
    • Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering. Invents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiency
    • Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements
    • Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems
    • Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements
    • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems
    • Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
    • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
    • Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance
    • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers
    • Participates in special projects as required WHAT YOU'

    LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    • Education: BA/BS in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience
    Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience

    • Required Technical Skills: Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF); Knowledge of VMWare (Skills and assessment); Understanding of DISA STIGs as well as real-world implementation instruction; WAN/LAN experience; TCP/IP troubleshooting; Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment; Comprehensive knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques; Experience with HBSS administration; SQL; Dell VRTX experience preferred and Linux RedHat
    • Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
    • Required Skills and Abilities: Superb communication and documentation skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms; must be able to work as part of a team; be flexible and have the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
